GALLERY REPRESENTATION!!!

Thu May 21, 2009, 7:34 PM
I now have gallery representation! The Mac Worthington Gallery, Columbus OH. Please direct any inquiries about purchasing my art here. [link]

deviantID

Although I've had a lifelong interest in art, I've only recently started to paint seriously. My favorite artists are Willem DeKooning, Melville Price, Norman Bluhm, Nicolas de Stael, Michael Goldberg, Joan Mitchell, Ralph Turturro, & Iain Robertson.

All art is self-portraiture.

I will sign my paintings wherever requested so owners can hang them anyway they wish. I consider this interaction between art and owner part of the creative process.

Representation: The Mac Worthington Gallery, Columbus OH. Please direct all inquiries there. [link]

love your art. My professor keeps telling me i should go ridiculously big. I think you should too. Although you work on canvas which would be a lot easier. I work on annoyingly obtrusive and heavy wood panel (i love them, i can't help it) I can barely fit them in my car. I think they just give you more room to think, it's like when you let a dog run around without a leash on in a giant field or something, you're a bit confused at first and then you go crazy (in a good way)

I'll post some of my newer stuff soon.

-Cheers!

Thanks Samantha, I like your art too. I want to move to larger pieces (I tend to work in sizes 36x36 or 48x36). The largest I've attempted is 73x73 and I discovered that (at least for me) it takes a different kind of thinking and movement, so I feel like I'm gradually working up to bigger. I look forward to your new pieces.
